"Life is what happens when your making other plans"
We all go about our daily lives thinking about the future, but what we don't know is that the future is not certain. We do not know what will happen to us 10 years down the road or even 10 minutes, we just have to live life for now. I'm not saying that we shouldn't plan for the future I'm just saying that we should live or lives with the idea of 'what if there is no tomorrow?' If you weren't here tomorrow would you be OK with your life? I am. I love my life, it is filled with laughter, good people, great friends and family, but it also has it's down falls, family gets sick, people die, bad days etc. What we have to remember is to not dwell on the bad, but focus on the positive even though people get angry and pissed off sometimes it's always important to remember that the more time you spend being angry, the more good times you've wasted. Life is always going, it doesn't slow down for anything and with this idea we must learn to love life and embrace it, no matter what. My name is Jake Ricketts and I am 16 years old from Kitchener, Ontario. I am currently attending Cameron Heights CI in Kitchener. I wrote this in the Future Forums Program at School for a project, but in doing this I realized how hard a seemingly simple task can be. Our teacher told us to create a portfolio and put some information about ourselves in it. I swear it has been the hardest task I've ever done. I see the point that my teacher was trying to make, if you put some effort and a little bit of swearing into it you can get something that you really like. With this I realized that life is the same thing, if you put a little effort into it than you have something that you really like. I live my life around Hockey, Baseball, & Football and the idea of always doing something new. Always trying new things and making sure that when I am long gone that my life to me was the best it could be. If your "Busy" & "Tired" that life will not slow down, so instead of wasting it, why not embrace it?
